DAGGER AND RAPIER COMBAT 1 WITH DAI CERTIFICATION
INSTRUCTOR: Melissa Freilich

Ann Arbor Civic Theatre is offering a 15-hour introduction to  armed combat - dagger and rapier level 1.  Participants will have the chance to test for Level 1 Certification with Dueling Arts International.  DAI is a non-profit devoted to providing comprehensive training in the art of theatrical combat and is committed to the highest standards of safety and artistic integrity.  Students will need to attend all sessions to participate and be eligible for testing.

 

Sessions are

June 3, 10 AM - 2 PM

June 4, 10 AM - 2 PM

June 10, 10 AM - 2 PM

June 11, 9 AM - 12 NOON


This workshop is being taught by Melissa Freilich, Dueling Arts International Associate Instructor, and Society of American Fight Director Advanced Actor Combatant, and A2CT director and fight choreographer.

This workshop is open to those ages 18 and up, cost is TBD; however discounts will be available for A2CT members and returning Unarmed Combat 1 participants.. Due to limited space, pre-registration is required. To register, please contact the office at 734-971-2228 or manager@a2ct.org

MOTIVATING MOVEMENT
INSTRUCTOR: Gerard Dzuiblinski

This three-hour workshop, taught by Gerard Dzuiblinski, Director of Theatre at Concordia University and performance and production instructor, will instruct actors and directors in creating organic staging and dynamic relationships through listening, sensing, and embodying a character to motivate natural movement.

This workshop is May 13 from 1-4 PM at the A2CT Studio and is open to all ages
Cost is $25 for non-A2CT members, $20 for members
Due to limited space, pre-registration is required
