Ann Arbor Civic Theatre Board Minimal Participation Requirements

 

Candidates for membership on the Ann Arbor Civic Theatre Board of Directors acknowledge their commitment to participate in A2CT activities at or above the following levels:

  1. Membership in the organization.  All Board members are required to be members at the $25 level or higher.  This is an annual fee.

  2. Attendance at meetings.  Members are required to attend seven of the twelve regular Board meetings.

  3. Development.  All members are required to actively participate in some level of development/fundraising.  There are a number of fundraising approaches from which to choose.

  4. Attendance at A2CT productions.  All members are urged to attend as many productions as possible.  Each Board member will receive two complimentary season tickets.

  5. Active participation in one or more Board sub-committees.  All Board members must sit on—and carry out some of the duties—of one or more Board sub-committee.

  6. Volunteer participation.  Each Board member should usher, do box office, or volunteer backstage for one or more productions each season as a way to demonstrate volunteerism to the membership and patrons.

Note: Board members should not submit to direct a play while they are on the Board.

Failure to fulfill the above responsibilities may result in removal from the Board.
