The

Saturdays from 1 pm-3:30 pm July 8-August 19. Taught by veteran actor and director
Glenn Bugala, this workshop will cover acting basics, scene analysis, character
development, and tips on getting involved in the local theater community. Everyone
from beginners to advanced actors is welcome to attend. Fee is $135 per person
in advance, and students are encouraged but not required to purchase the book
The Practical Handbook for the Actor, available
at Amazon.
Two youth acting camps will also be offered this summer, both led by local children’s
theater director Val Wilkinson. Introduction
to Theater is a beginning acting course for kids in grades K-3, and
runs M-F, August 21-25 from 10am-noon each day. The camp will consist of theater
games, improvisation, and an introduction to basic stage directions and terms.
No previous acting experience is required. Actor’s
Intensive is for young actors in grades 6-12, and runs M-F, August
21-25 from 1pm-4pm each day. This camp will focus on scene work and character
development. Actors interested in this camp should have been in at least one
play or have taken at least one acting class before signing up for this camp.
The fee for both youth camps is $120, and scholarships are available.
