synopsis
George S. Kaufman (The Man Who Came to Dinner, You Can't Take it With You) and Edna Ferber's (Showboat, Giant) Broadway hit gives a glimpse into the New York City boarding house of Mrs. Orcutt, where the hopes and ambitions of sixteen wanna-be actresses who have come there to pursue Broadway careers are hilariously revealed. Will Terry Randall get her break on Broadway, or will she be lured off to Hollywood? Will her boyfriend Keith ever get his play produced? Will the boyfriends ever pick up the girls on time? Kaufman and Ferber have truly produced one of the first "Dramadies."
