Ann Arbor Civic Theatre and the Firefly Club present a benefit show: Steppin’ Out 4: Civic Does Cinema Wednesday and Thursday, May 9 & 10 at the Firefly Club, 207 S. Ashley St. in downtown Ann Arbor. Tickets are $15 each for general admission & $25 for reserved seating. Tickets are available at the Ann Arbor Civic Theatre box office, 322 W. Ann St., by calling the office at 734-971-2228, or at the door of the Firefly before each performance. Doors open at 7pm and the show begins at 8pm. Civic Does Cinema features many of A2CT’s finest entertainers singing tunes from the movies including favorites from films like Tommy, The Jerk, Three Amigos, and Wayne’s World. Guest performers will be on hand with a special preview of A2CT’s upcoming production of Hair, which was a movie as well as a smash-hit Broadway musical. “We’re doing something a little different for this Steppin’ Out,” says producer and emcee Curt Waugh. “Instead of the usual Broadway show tunes and classic songs, we’re moving off the beaten path and having a lot of fun along the way,” continues Waugh. Civic Does Cinema’s talented cast includes January and Anthony Provenzola, Kathy Waugh, Jeff Steinhauer, Sue Booth, Tawna Dabney, Emily Perryman, members from A2CT production of Hair, and many others.

Proceeds from Steppin’ Out IV: Civic Does Cinema go to Ann Arbor Civic Theatre, one of the country’s oldest and most successful community theaters.
