Technical Theatre Camp
Come learn about what goes on BEHIND the scenes in this very hands-on camp, led by Brice O'Neal, of Community High School's Community Ensemble Theatre (CET). Each day of the one-week, full-day camp will focus on accomplishing a specific goal or project. Each full day session will include hands-on work in the A2CT scene shop (building set pieces, painting flats, etc.) and studio work (lighting, sound, etc.). In addition, participants will create a notebook with all the information they learn, and will participate in an end-of-camp showcase.

GO! Theatre Camp
Spinning Dot Theatre is excited to bring you this innovative and hands-on theatre camp for 4-6 year olds! In collaboration with A2CT, GO Theatre! Camp combines acting, movement, music, visual arts, and languages – really allowing the young people to get creative with all aspects of theatre and learn about theatre from around the world. The culmination of the camp is a short performance crafted from top to bottom by the young people themselves!

Global Spark Camp
Spinning Dot Theatre is excited to bring you this interdisciplinary and interactive camp! In collaboration with A2CT, Global Spark! combines theater arts, movement, music and visual arts as well as language skills in multiple foreign languages. The culmination of the camp is a performance crafted from top to bottom by the young people – thus providing them learning experiences in not only acting but choreography, directing, costumes, lighting, set design, producing, etc.

For kids in GRADES 2-6 (in the fall of 2019)

Global + Theatre + Teens = G2T Camp
Spinning Dot Theatre and Ann Arbor Civic Theatre are thrilled to invite teens to this revolutionary way of engaging in an experimental and global theatre experience. G2T pulls together specialists and guest artists in theatre, movement, and music as well as visual, cultural, and language arts. Youth driven, the process will grow into an original piece of theatre inspired by global issues, stories and art forms. Ensemble members will have the chance to experiment with languages, cultures, and all aspects of theatre including playwriting, acting, directing, producing, choreography, lighting, and set and costume design.
