Suzi Peterson Steward | President
Suzi Peterson Steward has been involved with A2CT for 30 years, first becoming familiar with the organization as a volunteer, and eventually spent 15 years experience as Managing Director of A2CT. Along with former Program Director Cassie Mann, she navigated the theatre through location changes, economic changes, many amazing shows and cast and crew members, and a host of challenges and successes throughout the years.
Suzi is a proud California native, but an equally proud Michigan transplant. Her background is in arts administration, having worked in the music industry for many years in California. Her passion is non-profit administration, which has served her well in working with the Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance (currently Board President) and Food Gatherers (volunteer and part-time staff coordinator for the Community Kitchen). A love of the arts has come in handy working with A2CT as well as with several other area arts organizations.
Over the years and through the present, Suzi sits on the Education & Outreach Committee and produces many A2CT main stage productions, as well as Junior Theatre productions. Seeing a group of actors and stage tech artists take a production from start to stage is a feeling like no other, in her opinion. She’s especially proud working with the kids in JT shows, as she sees first-hand the life-changing skills and values that the kids develop from learning theatre arts and working with their peers.
