Myth Understood

Two teens writing a report on Greek mythology are startled when they get a visit from Hermes, winged helmet and all! The messenger whisks them away to Mount Olympus, where various gods and goddesses retell their myths to the students in a more favorable light. In a quest to get people to worship them once again, Zeus and the other gods and goddesses want to put a more positive (and hilarious!) spin on their version of events.

Myth-Understood has many roles that can be double and even triple cast.
You can prepare for auditions with us at our audition workshop held at the Ann Arbor Civic Theatre Studio.
Auditions will consist of warm-ups, games, and a monologue reading. Below are two monologue options. You do NOT need to memorize the monologue. You will be asked to read the monologue once, be provided direction, and then asked to read it again.
Callbacks, if needed, will be held on September 26, 2026.
